Disclosure of environmental data in accordance with an internationally used standard
Book your free strategy consultation nowThe Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a global standard for the disclosure of environmental data. More and more companies, investors and public institutions are using CDP as a tool to measure, manage and communicate their climate, water and forest protection measures. It is also increasingly being demanded by supply chain partners.
The questionnaire is tailored to the respective company based on factors such as industry, size and location, as not all criteria are relevant to every company.
The questionnaire (and thus also the assessment methodology) differs for SMEs and large companies. Both are republished each year, sometimes with adjustments.
Practical tip: In some cases, even micro-enterprises are asked by their customers to complete the corporate questionnaire covering all three topics (climate change, forests, water). This naturally takes more time. Therefore, if expectations are not clearly formulated, clarify them with your supply chain partners in good time.
The timeframe from the publication of the questionnaire for the respective year to the deadline by which the questionnaire must be submitted is published on the CDP website. The disclosure cycle usually runs from around April to mid-September.
English, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese and Japanese are accepted.
Prices vary depending on price tier (tier) and region. You can find more information here. If your customer asks you to participate in CDP reporting, they may invite you and also cover the costs.
