Compensate CO₂ consumption

InfraVest Guanyin Wind Farm Project, Taiwan

The electricity mix (power mix) in Taiwan consists mainly of gas and coal. Taiwan imports most of these fossil fuels from abroad. The wind farm on the northwest coast of Taiwan was commissioned in 2010 and contributes to the independence and security of supply of electricity production in Taiwan. It also reduces dependence on fossil fuels. The wind farm consists of a total of 19 Enercon E70 wind turbines, has a total capacity of just under 142 GWh and produces clean and renewable electricity for around 30,000 households. The project thus avoids fossil fuels in electricity production and saves greenhouse gases and other pollutant emissions of over 100,000 tons of CO2 per year.

compensate CO2/carbon footprint

environmentally friendly and social:

  • Renewable energies protect the climate and reduce the use of fossil fuels.
  • Wind power plants also supply future generations with electricity
  • Can be an incentive to continue to be committed to environmentally friendly energy production
  • Local jobs were created during the construction and operation phases.
  • Technology and knowledge transfer
