UN Climate Summit in Paris, 2015

On December 12th, 2015, this climate agreement, which stipulates the limitation of global warming to well below 2 degrees C, preferably 1.5 degrees C compared to preindustrial levels, was adopted. This agreement will be valid starting the next decade. The Kyoto Protocol will expire at the end of 2020.

UNFCCC

UNFCCC is the abbreviation for United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The aim of this contract, which was formed in 1992, is to stabilize the greenhouse gas concentration in our atmosphere. In 1997, the UNFCCC adopted the Kyoto Protocol, which has been ratified by more than 190 participating States.

UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees)

UNHCR means UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The International Refugee Protection Agency is the center of UNHCR's work.

Urban Agriculture

Urban farming means the use of areas within a city for agricultural purposes. An area can also be a house roof, a balconies, or front yards.
